MBABANE – SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews’s admiration for Mbabane Swallows and national team Sihlangu striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa was not enough to convince the coach Eric Tinkler to signing him.

After assessing him in a game situation, the coach told KickOff.com he was not keen on the striker. While confirming he trained with them since Friday after leaving Swaziland last Thursday, he will not be signing the 26-year-old striker due to the fact that they are already boasting enough quality in the striking department.
“He’s been training with us for the last couple of days because a request came in to find out if he could, so I said, ‘no problem, let’s have a look at him’,” confirmed Tinkler at the 2017 MTN8 launch on Monday.
“But I don’t think we will be signing him, no. Right now that [strikers] is one thing I don’t have any issues with – [Jeremy] Brockie has been extremely good, we still have (Kingston) Nkhatha, Bradley Grobler and we’ve just signed Prince Dube.

Tinkler who replaced coach Stuart Baxter after the latter took the Bafana Bafana job insisted on the quality he has at his disposal upfront which makes it very difficult for him to sign Ndzinisa.
“I allowed him to train just to have a look at him – today he played a little bit of a friendly, but from today he’ll move on,” he added.
Ndzinisa is currently hot property and has got various teams interested in him including Amazulu and an unnamed team in Belgium. Swallows had said last Friday that the player was requested for assessment in a game and released him.
However, they were also still hopeful that should it not work in SuperSport, he could win a contract elsewhere including in Belgium. Called again on the latest, Swallows’ General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane said they had not yet got any report from SuperSport.

“We cannot rely on KickOff as we believe and know SuperSport is a professional team so if anything, they will directly communicate with our chairman but as is nothing has come from them. Sikhali is a quality striker with wide opportunities to play outside the country as per the chairman’s policy to have more internationals for Sihlangu,” he said.
In any case, he said that should they report the same to the Swallows’ chairman Victor Gamedze; they had no problem at all as there were many offers waiting for the sharpshooter. Efforts to get t6he player’s comment failed as he was unreachable on his cellphone.
