MBABANE – If pool teams keep up the violence-free tournaments they will rejoice more rather than worry about police’s involvement in the game.

Through their team, Police College Pool Club, the sport has benefitted immensely as in nearly two years of their existence, the past weekend’s teams knockout tournament was their fourth to the tune of E5 000.
The big news though is the announcement of a bigger and better tournament before the end of the year with an even improved package, after the huge response and packed Police College over the weekend by teams from all over the country.

Representing the college’s Regional Commander Vusi Masuku, was senior police officer and pool legend Colin Dlamini.
He told clubs that the tournament was a big success and as police they were impressed, as being in sport was also policing.

He said sponsors do not want to associate with violence and because none of it was witnessed, once again there will soon be another tournament with a bigger package. He also congratulated the champions Sharpshooters, while also encouraging runners-up Figaredo who lost the second final in less than a month, saying like Police College, they were getting closer to success.

Also worth mentioning is that teams requested the college to also consider sponsoring a singles competition as it had been a while since they played them.
