MBABANE – If you want to drive a Mercedes, then you must be ready to spend what it is worth – just what Tambuti want Mbabane Highlanders to do to get any player from them.

Sources have said an attempt by Highlanders to negotiate for the Tambuti captain, Mpendulo Ngidi and Gabriel Goshen, both midfield players failed last week after they were told the two stars were worth E200 000.

“We went to Big Bend for the players but after contacting the Tambuti leadership, it transpired that these players will not go cheap and it also came up that the players’ team wants things done procedurally in terms of transfers,” said a close source.
Another source also confirmed the figures but said they were yet to return to Tambuti, especially because they needed to have a strong team when the Swazi Telecom Charity Cup comes on August 27.

Tambuti PRO Nathi Dlamini was reached on the latest but said he was not aware Highlanders had some people come downto discuss the players’ issue. However, he then referred questions on transfers to the team’s Chairman Rudolph Matsenjwa.
