EZULWINI – They don’t say ‘perseverance is the key to success’ for nothing.

Correctional Service Darts team is living proof of the age old adage after being crowned champions of the SRIC Darts League.
For about 10 years, they have tried to lay their hands on the coveted trophy, without success, until finally breaking their jinx this year.
And their efforts have received accolades from no less a person in Commissioner General Mzuthini Ntshangase, for putting the name of the institution on the map.

He made these remarks on Friday during the SRIC Darts League Prize Presentation at Timbali Lodge where he was represented by Senior Superintendant Jethro Ndzingane.
The Correctional side won the league after amassing 84 points after 30 games. They were handed their E8 000 first prize and a trophy by Swaziland Royal Insurance Corporation (SRIC) General Manager Zama Ngcobo, Swaziland National Darts Association (SNDA) president Michael ‘Scara’ Gama and Swaziland National Sports and Recreational Council (SNSRC) CEO Representative Zama Tsabedze.

“We are proud of the team after 10 barrel years of trophy-less season. We delight in such achievement and we laud the team for their consistence display throughout the season, which saw them winning the league,” Ndzingane said.
He further said many times they came second in the league.
“It was high time that we win the league and at the start of the season I told them that I wanted the SRIC darts league home and they delivered, and we are very much happy.
“This shows growth in the team and we urge the players to defend it even next season,” Ndzingane said.
The event was attended by SRIC General Manager Zama Ngcobo, Swaziland National Darts Association President Michael ‘Scara’ Gama among others.
