MBABANE – Recent success, both domestically and in Africa, has not quenched Mbabane Swallows insatiable appetite for more glory.

The red and white capital city giants are currently assessing a Ghanaian midfielder Mahmoud Sliman, Zimbabwean centre back Charles Muteri and Namibian forward known as Ronald. The team is gearing up for the weekend preseason invitation to South Africa for the Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup in Ulundi.

The buzzing camp also has Felix Badenhorst, who is pushing for a return to the team that released him on a two-year loan to DRC giants AS Vita early last season. The player has been on record stating his desire to return home, citing unfavourable conditions in the war-torn capital city Kinshasa. As if that was not enough, the club has once again requested the return of loaned duo of Siyabonga Msholozi Mdluli and Sandanezwe Mathabela, who featured in their failed CAF Confederations Cup group stages campaign.

These and the recently signed Ndumiso ‘Tower’ Ndaba and Simanga Shongwe of Mbabane Midas City, complete what is beginning to be a star-studded camp which assistant coach Siyabonga Bhembe took their paces yesterday afternoon.
Mbabane Swallows General Manager Sandile ‘Beyond 2000’ Zwane confirmed the presence of the three international players who are being assessed.

“We have invited them for trials and it is not like they just came for themselves. We are cognisant of the tight schedule we have this season and from the lessons we got playing in Africa, we have since realised that we need to have a well-balanced team.
