MANZINI – From four-star performance, Matsapha Government Primary put Mabondvwini Primary to the sword as they were crowned champions of the SRIC Scara Thindwa Soccer Foundation.

Matsapha displayed a dominant display to crush their opponents in the finals of the Under-13 tournament played at Manzini Club Stadium on Friday with Zwile Manzini scoring all four goals. The champions were already tipped to lift the trophy even before kick off after having earlier brushed aside Elulakeni Primary in Wednesday’s semi final matches.
Over 200 people converged at this tiny stadium to witness the final day. The free-scoring Matsapha, who netted seven goals in two games, pocketed E15 000. Mabondwini, for their effort, banked E10 000 after securing a final place with an emphatic 2-0 victory over Black Mbuluzi.

Swaziland School Sports Association(SSSA) appreciated the continued partnership with the Scara Thindwa Foundation and most importantly, Swaziland Royal Insurance Corporations (SRIC) endorsement. SRIC’s sponsorship package for this year was a whopping E170 000.
“As schools sports it pleases us to contribute to the development of sports at grassroots level. We are happy with the Scara Foundation partnership and appreciate SRIC for embracing the initiative,” said Dlamini.
