LOBAMBA – Well, it will need a master class, a performance out of this world that would possibly go down in the history of CAF as the greatest comeback in national teams’ competitions.

Sihlangu captain Tony Tsabedze insist they can overturn an embarrassing home 4-0 defeat suffered last Sunday against Zambia in the first leg of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) first leg qualifier at Somhlolo National Stadium. Sihlangu will have to display a Barcelona kind of performance, as they left the country yesterday afternoon to honour the return leg in Lusaka.

Tsabedze, who is also captain of all conquering Mbabane Swallows, is reminded of how his beloved red and white glamour side overturned a seemingly impossible scoreline against Congo Brazzaville’s AC Leopards in the Total CAF Confederation Cup back in April. Coming to the second leg match here at home, AC Leopards carried a reed-thin 1-0 advantage and, adding salt to the wound, Swallows found themselves 2-0 down inside 20 minutes, 3-0 on aggregate.

It is history now that the Mbabane giants went on to progress to the next stage of the competition, the group stages, the first Swazi side to do so under the new format after emerging 5-4 aggregate winners.
