On July 1, 2017, the SwaziTelecom Charity Cup was officially launched by His Excellency, the Deputy Prime Minister, who was represented by the minster of ICT, Mr Dumisani Ndlangamandla at the Mbabane Government Hospital, OPD building.

The launch comprised of painting and refurbishment of ward 12, which is a male ward in the Mbabane Government Hospital. The e-health service was also launched at the Mbabane Government Hospital on the day.
The DPM greatly applauded the work that SwaziTelecom was doing in Ward 12, stating that it could not have come at a better time as the month of June was earmarked for promoting men’s health by the Ministry of Health.
The DPM noted that health wass a determinant of development of any country and it was on that premise that His Majesty’s government had prioritised health.

He further went on to commend SPTC, who chose to partner with the health sector to help in mitigating health related issues in the communities we live in and encouraged many more corporates to come and establish strong alliances with the health sector and help the country to realise its 2022 vision.

During the launch of the e-health service, Doctors in Mbabane were able to call, interact and visibly see doctors based at Matsanjeni Clinic (Shiselweni Region).
This service will help sustain health care delivery by extending specialist services and skills to remote hospitals and clinics across Swaziland.

The DPm applauded SwaziTelecom for providing the service and mentioned that the service was all about extending health services to rural and remote areas with the main aim of mitigating health issues and saving lives overall.
