PHOKENG – South Africa’s Premier Soccer League outfit, Platinum Stars have joined the long list of teams knocking on Mbabane Swallows door in search for the signature of striker, Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and midfielder, Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze.

So determined were the North-West Province based outfit they made an attempt to have the two players stay behind yesterday when the ‘Birds’ travelled back to the country after Saturday night’s CAF Confederation Cup Group B match, which ended in a 2-all draw at the modest Moruleng Stadium.
The Times Sports Desk has reliably gathered that former Swazi international, Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina is the one brokering the deal for one of the players, midfielder Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze.
Masina, who had travelled to Rustenburg, confirmed that he was trying to get Swallows to release the players to attend the three-day trial offered by the South African Premier Soccer League side.
“Platinum Stars have shown interest in both players and they are convinced they are the quality they are looking for,” he said.

Platinum Stars assistant coach, Milton Dlamini, a native Swazi, also confirmed that he would relish the prospect of signing the two players and would love to have them under-go the three-day trials that will be starting here today.
“We have about 20 players coming through for the three-day trials and I would love for Pupu and Sikhali to be part of this. Most of these players invited for the trials are PSL players and we rate these two Swallows players at that level,” Dlamini said.

Swallows coach, Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati, who revealed they will be looking at signing at least six new players in the new season, said his team would not stand in the way of players who wish to take their careers further.
“I don’t see a problem in us releasing the players because the move will benefit both the club and the player but the decision rests with the chairman of the club,” Vilakati said.
The free scoring Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa netted his fifth goal in the CAF Confederation Cup Group B stages, which ended yesterday with CS Sfaxien and MC Alger qualifying for the knockout stages. CS Sfaxien have topped Group B after annihilating MC Alger 4-0 at the beautiful 20 000-seater Taieb Mhiri Stadium in Sfaxien.
