EZULWINI – Supporters’ choice Ally Kgomongwe is here to rescue Mbabane Highlanders.

In a brief interview with him yesterday, Ally whose interests in local football especially Highlanders are not new, said it was the club’s supporters that wanted him.
“If God chooses you to rescue people, then you should do just that,” he said. Kgomongwe said the people, fans in this case wanted him at Highlanders and he was ready.
“I’m not here to force anything or push or fight anyone but merely to help,” he said.

He said his presence in the country was strictly in response to the supporters and Patrons who had already approached him when they came to his house last October.
“The Patrons came to my house and approached me. I am here to meet with them and believe all is well,” he said.
Sources in the task team entrusted to recruit a potential director said Ally was met on Saturday night.
“Patrons Chairman Isaac Shabangu was also present in the meeting,” said a source.

The task team comprise the Patrons and supporters representative Kenneth Dlamini.
It is believed that Ally was offered a similar contract to that departed Director Bheki ‘Rubber’ Simelane had.
“I am not even aware Ally is here but if he is all the better then we can meet him,” said Patrons Chairman Isaac Shabangu who was diplomatic in his responses.
He also said it was not just Ally alone they were considering but there were others in and out of the country.

“We’ll give a contract to who we find to be the best for the club,” he said. He denied any contract had already been drawn up and discussed with Ally.
Ally had wanted to be part of Highlanders not long ago when Simelane was in charge but they did not agree on terms.
