MBABANE EAST ARE SHUKUMA FOOTBALL HHOHHO CHAMPIONS

MBABANE – Mbabane East came from behind, forcing their game against a gallant Ndzingeni to penalty shootouts before emerging winners of the Hhohho region.

This was during the ongoing Shukuma Football tournament at Prince of Wales Ground. Former elite outfit midfielder, now with Hhohho Super League side PMT, drew Mbabane East level with five minutes remaining on referee Mandla Gama’s watch to push the game to shootouts.
At least three regional champions were confirmed following a weekend of Tinkhundla football countrywide, with the exception of Shiselweni whose finals between Khubutha and Shiselweni II constituencies was called off due to darkness at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium yesterday.
Mpolonjeni beat Dvokodvweni by a solitary goal to be crowned Lubombo champs, while Mkhiweni are the Manzini region winners.
