PHOKENG – When Mbabane Swallows take on South Africa’s Platinum Stars in the last game of the CAF Confederation Cup here on Saturday night, a bonafide Swazi will be sitting on the opposite bench.

Milton Dlamini, a former Manzini Sundowns head coach, has signed with the Premier Soccer League (PSL) outfit bankrolled by the Royal Bafokeng family on a reported two-year contract.
Dlamini will be assistant to new English-born coach, Peter Butler who is taking over the coaching reigns from Cavin Johnson whose contract has not been renewed by ‘Dikwena’.

Dlamini quit another South African PSL side, Baroka FC, after saving them from relegation, due to a fall-out with the club management.
An informed source told the Times Sports Desk that Dlamini signed a deal with ‘Dikwena’ three weeks ago after parting ways with the Polokwane based outfit.
“He was just waiting for his contract with Baroka FC to come to an end. It ended last Friday and is now free to join Platinum Stars,” the source said.

Dlamini was spotted at the ‘Dikwena’ club headquarters near the Royal Marang Hotel, where he was set to have a meeting with the club General Manager Senzo Mazingiza. In an interview, Dlamini confirmed he has joined Platinum Stars as assistant coach.
“Yes, I have joined Platinum Stars and I am happy to join such a professional team. I am impressed with the set up and everything. I will be assisting Peter Butler,” Dlamini said.
