MBABANE – After undergoing a nightmarish season, Royal Leopard head coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane could be on his way out of the police side technical bench.

Despite winning the season opener Swazi Telecom Charity Cup, the police side surrendered both the coveted MTN league title and Castle Premier Challenge Cup to nemesis Mbabane Swallows in the past 2016/17 season.

Dubbed the ‘Special One’, Ntibane had led the police side to three consecutive MTN league titles in the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. He also helped ‘Ingwe Mabalabala’ win the 2014 SwaziBank Cup and three Swazi Telecom Charity Cup trophies since he replaced former coach, Texan Phiri at the police outfit.

Leopard MC Chairman Mcolisi ‘Master’ Dlamini confirmed that there would be a reshuffle at the police side.
“Well, to be honest we did not play to our standard last season as we only won one trophy, and ended the season on number three. This is not good according to our standard as in the previous seasons we won numerous trophies. The reshuffle will not affect the management but also players. This we hope will improve the team’s performance in the upcoming season,” said Dlamini.

Dlamini explained though that no decision had been made yet regarding the head coach (Ntibane).
“We have to meet as a team and discuss a way forward. So for now it will not be proper to say who is going and who we are bringing on board. We will meet maybe after Swallows and Sihlangu’s games are over as we are full behind Sihlangu and Mbabane Swallows who are representing the country in the Total CAF Confederations Cup,” added Dlamini.

Ntibane, when reached for comments, said he was not the right person to comment on the matter. “Well, the management are the right people to have a say on this matter so I cannot say I am still the  coach or not  so ask from the team’s PRO.
