FUNFEST 2017 PRESENTS E21 000 SPORTS PRIZES

MBABANE – Often times than not, local athletes compete for medals and trophies in their various sporting codes but on July 29, great cash prizes worth E21 500 are at stake courtesy of the Funfest 2017.

This will be up for various sporting disciplines being netball, soccer, pool, darts, cycling, tug-of-war and volleyball. This is all brought by 360 Ses’la International Travel Agency, which hosts the event annually. It is billed for Sidvokodvo at Rider’s Ranch, where there will also be popular South African music group Mafikizolo.

The event, according to Njabuliso Simelane who is one of the coordinators, will commence as early as 9am and will cater for all, from children to adults. Of all the disciplines, no champions will win less than E3 000, the highest being E4 000 for cycling.
Registration for the social competition is ongoing already and the deadline is on June 24. Each participating club shall register at a fee of E100.

The launch of the event will be held today but the venue had not yet been confirmed by close of business yesterday. “Ours is a celebration of life through social games and music. Music lovers who are talented in sports will have a field day of fun as they will participate in the games and enjoy music later in the after party,” explained the Agency’s Managing Director Njabulo Simelane.

He added that all eight sports tournaments will have the participating teams also allowed entry into the after party at discounted prices per member.

Tickets to the late night entertainment event to last till dawn cost E300 VIP and general is E200. All interested teams from all over the country are encouraged to register soonest by contacting Simelane at 7698 3068 and Linda ‘Master’ Dlamini at 7653 8523.
