MATSAPHA – Like music to the ear, Swazis will be delighted to learn that stars Felix Badenhorst and Mthunzi ‘Xavi’ Mkhontfo are available for Sihlangu.

The AS Vita duo is expected to travel with the national team to Niger for the June 9 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Cup 2019 first leg qualifiers.
“We have requested for them and they are part of the team to face Niger,” responded National Football Association of Swaziland’s (NFAS) CEO Frederick Mngometulu, when questioned about their availability on Monday afternoon.

On the question of the duo travelling with the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) team to Ethiopia for a Total CAF Champions’ League group game on June 4, he said Sihlangu would leave three days later. “We depart on June 7 and since its FIFA week, AS Vita are obliged to release them,” he said.
Mngomezulu also confirmed that flight arrangements were long done but now waiting for the coach Pieter De Jongh to name the final squad.
Effectively, Felix and Xavi are expected to fly in a day or two before Sihlangu leaves.
