Simelane set this record last Saturday in the inaugural edition which saw 129 runners partaking.
Speaking shortly after crossing the finish line Mbabazi said it was all about keeping fit.

“Well, coming first was a bonus, for me it was about keeping my body in shape and fit and healthy.
This is my first time joining this race and I should say it a worthwhile experience and I will definitely be here next week,” said Mbabazi.
In the female category, Nonhlanhla Makhanya was first but 20th in the overall category, clocking in 36:08 minutes.

Coming second in the female category was Thembsile Zwane who clocked at 36:14 minutes with Christina Sampaio coming third at 36:42 minutes.
This week 63 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 28 were first timers and 13 recorded new Personal Bests.
The event was made possible by eight volunteers and these are: Charles Bethel, Karen Cooper, Kate Doyle, Michael Doyle, Lean Drinkwater, Carla Joubert, Lisa Kisyeri and Ellena Mberi.
