MBABANE – Royal Leopard President Isaac Magagula, gripped by the Santa spirit, announced that the heroic Under-20 side that won the SwaziBank Cup will get a share of the E25 000 grand prize money.

This was during a press conference held at the Police Headquarters where the team officially presented the trophy to the president.
Magagula hailed the club juniors for making the Royal Leopard Club proud even when the senior team was not able to win the bigger version of the competition.

“Sports have for years been the nerve of our operations in the police force, which is a way of maintaining healthy bodies. We thank the Under-20 team for lifting the name of Royal Leopard by winning the SwaziBank Cup, even when the senior team could not do it. I wish to announce that they will share the prize money after the management has done all the necessary calculations,” he said.

The club MC Chairman Mxolisi Master Dlamini said they were still going to sit down and see how much each player was going to get.
Captain of the team Mhlonishwa Ndlovukazi thanked the club president for the incentives and said it was motivating to the players.
“To be honoured in this way is a motivation to all of us to work even harder.

The good news is that management has already made it clear that some players from the current under-20 will be promoted to the senior Royal Leopard team,” he said.
