MANZINI – Even Scavengers could not stop marauding Manzini Titans from their good run as they stormed to yet another emphatic victory.

The one sided game was played at Mavuso Sports Centre yesterday which attracted a fair crowd for the Men Promotional league.
Titans secured yet another two crucial points to jump to the top spot of the second division league, leapfrogging RSSC Tridents in the process that are on five points.

The Manzini based team are now comfortably sitting on six points after three attempts. Scavengers on the other hand are still languishing at the bottom of the log with only two points.
The hosts started like a house on fire hitting home 26 goals while Scavengers only scored seven times.
In the second quarter, the hosts continued where they left off as they dominated proceedings.

as a result by the end of second stanza they were leading by 53-18.
In the third quarter, the visitors tried to come back but the Bongani Tsadzebe captained side were just unstoppable as they were still ahead by 73-26 end of this quarter.
The final quarter saw both teams at each other’s throats but the hosts commanded authority until the final whistle and final score was 104-43.

Titans captain Bongani Tsabedze said their main aim was to gain promotion at the end of the season.
“We played very well and I am happy that we have gone three games unbeaten in the league. This is a good start and we need to keep up the good work,” said Tsabedze.

Meanwhile, Scavengers captain Sakhile Nxumalo said they were new in the league and they were still adapting. “It’s tough out here but we will manage and I want to promise all our fans that we will improve our game and hopefully finish the league in a respectful position,” said Nxumalo.
