MBABANE – In a case of fortune favours the brave, Young Buffaloes players have vowed to bring back the SwaziBank Cup to their President and Army Commander Sobantu Dlamini.

The players accompanied by management met their leader yesterday morning at the army headquarters and were ordered to conquer at all costs. Three players in separate interviews later yesterday morning, Ndoda Mthethwa, Nhlanhla Gwebu and Samkelo ‘Rheo’ Lushaba all promised to carry the order to the end without fail.

“He and the management have sacrificed a lot for the team and there is no denying the fact that we are all trophy starved. It is time we win this one for the army commander,” Rheo said.
He was echoed by Ndoda who missed the Ingwenyama Cup final through suspension.
“I have lost the cup twice despite scoring in both finals against Mbabane Highlanders and Royal Leopard respectively. I feel it is time I win this one. The commander deserves it and we are bringing it home,” he said.

Nhlanhla Gwebu who lost in 2006 with Malanti Chiefs to Mbabane Swallows, and in 2014 with Young Buffaloes to Royal Leopard said it was time they climb the podium to get the gold medals.
“It’s a tough match, but we are determined to end the rot. I have to keep a clean sheet to win this one, because surely, if I stop the opponents from scoring, chances are we will win,” he said.

The player was, however, quick to state that his team has been the second best in the season, only to the all conquering Mbabane Swallows, and that even if by mistake they fail to win on Sunday, they would not consider themselves as having failed.
