‘CHIEF’ TAKES SUPPORTERS, ELDERS’ CHAIRMAN TO COURT

MBABANE – There is a serious power struggle at hub giants Manzini Wanderers once again that has seen five supporters and the club’s elders’ Chairman Sipho Ntshalintshali hauled to the High Court.


Ntshalintshali is first respondent in the matter, while renowned supporter Lucky ‘Majayivane’ Dlamini is second respondent. Alphe Mngometulu, Mthunzi Dlamini, Steven Thwala, Mfanukhona Lukhele are 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th respondents respectively.


The matter was in the High Court yesterday morning after unwanted director Sandile ‘Chief’ Dlamini filed an urgent application seeking an order  interdicting and restraining the respondents forthwith from attending training sessions and participating in all activities of the applicant pending commencement of their internal disciplinary proceedings.


The National Commissioner of Police and Attorney General are listed as 7th and 8th respondents respectively. Dlamini is represented by Mkhwanazi Attorneys in the matter while the supporters have Zakhele Dlamini of TZD Sports.
The applicant wants these people out of the club’s training sessions at Trade Fair Ground in Manzini and expects the police to enforce the order if the High Court grants it.


Chief Justice Bheki Maphalala allowed the matter to be postponed to next Thursday to give the supporters time to file their answering affidavit and prepare heads of argument.
“This is an application in which the executive of Manzini Wanderers seeks an order interdicting and restraining the respondents forthwith from attending the club’s training sessions, soccer matches and all activities of Manzini Wanderers FC.
