MBABANE – “This tournament has a history that relegation-threatened teams usually win it.”
These were remarks made by Young Buffaloes coach Dominic Kunene yesterday.

“We are hard at training preparing for the upcoming game against Mbabane Highlanders, which we believe is an equally good team. It will be folly of us to underestimate them because of their league status,” said Kunene.

The Buffaloes coach made an observation that cup tournaments were different from league games.
“You will recall that at one moment this cup was won by Moneni Pirates, who were later relegated to the National First Division so it will be folly of us to take Highlanders for granted,” added Kunene.

He further said his squad was looking good as all the players were injury free.
“Nhlanhla Gwebu had a minor knock during our quarter-final clash against Midas City but he has since fully recovered. I was really concerned but I am relieved that he will be available for selection in Sunday’s game,” he said. Meanwhile, Mbabane Highlanders coach Rodney ‘Stumbo’ Charles said they were not afraid of their opponents.

The two sides will clash at Somhlolo National Stadium on Sunday during the SwaziBank Cup semi-finals at 3:30pm.The army side managed to beat Midas City 3-2 in the quarter-finals while the ‘Bull’ brushed aside Tambuti 6-5 after penalties.
Manzini Wanderers will play against Matsapha United in the first semi-finals at the same venue at 1:30pm.
