LOBAMBA – After a show of skills against Tambuti yesterday, Young Buffaloes sailed through to the SwaziBank Cup Under-20 knockout semis.

The defending champions proved the better team against a depleted Tambuti who missed a few key players at the Somhlolo National Stadium. They also joined Manzini Sundowns in the semi-finals with the 6-1 victory over Tambuti.
Sundowns in an earlier fixture brushed aside hub rivals Moneni Pirates with a 3-0 scoreline.

The two sides will now wait to see which two teams make it to the semi-finals today as there are games pitting Mbabane Highlanders against Royal Leopard at 9am before Manzini Wanderers take on Green Mamba at 11am at the same venue. Buffaloes had very skilful players upfront, who had no problem turning and tossing the Tambuti defence at times they even marched, did ‘show-me’s’ and tsamayas while going on to win 6-1.
Two players, Mbutfo Dlamini and Sibonelo bagged braces while left back Mcondisi Dladla and Bandile scored a goal each.

Tambuti who should have at least scored three goals managed to get one through Mcondisi Nxumalo. Scorers for Sundowns in the first quarter-final were Thandokuhle Dlamini, Senzo Shongwe and Lwazi Ginindza.
