MANZINI – ‘No work no points.’ Manzini Wanderers coach Nyanga ‘Crooks’ Hlophe has warned his Yello Sunday opponents, Mbabane Highlanders that they will not do anyone any favours.

He said they were not reading much at the ‘Black Bull’s precarious position in the MTN League log table where they are dicing with the chop at position 11 with a mere 14 points in 17 games. Anything less than victory for the Rodney ‘Stumbo Charles coached side could spell more misery. He has targeted at least 10 points from the possible 15 at stake in the league.

“You know that I am being fair. I believe that everyone gets what he deserves in a game, and this one notwithstanding. The winner of the tie will be the club that will work hard to prepare. We are doing just that here as you can see. We are glad to have Shana and Kola back for the game. Jose Machado has started training too, but he has some catch up to do in terms of regaining fitness level required at this stage,” he said.

He said his youthful team was gelling with time and the more they play the big games, the better they become.
He then appealed for patience from the club supporters to give the directors, management, technical and players the support they need to take the club to the required level.

He was echoed by club General Manager Patrick Gamedze, who said they were ready on the field to tackle their opponents, but said supporters should voice their grievances at the relevant forums.
“We do not look at the status of the club whenever we are to play, but accord every opponent the respect it deserves. However, the underlying ambitions will always be to try and win every game to improve our position.”

The first round match between the teams ended 1-all.
