MBABANE – Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati has crowed a no retreat no surrender as his Mbabane Swallows side prepares to face head on with feared Congolese giants AC Leopard in the CAF Confederations Cup two-legged play-off tie.

He said Swallows management has already committed too much fund towards the continental competition since the Orapa United clash, and they cannot retreat now when an opportunity to rake in money in the group stages looms larger.
“I wish to concur with the club’s acting CEO on the fact that at this stage, there is no turning back. We have been presented with a challenge which we should face head on.

We are going to prepare well for the tie. I have watched Leopard playing Orlando Pirates in the CAF Confederations Cup in the past, they are a good side, but we also have quality players who can do the job,” he said.
The coach said playing the first leg away was always going to be an advantage to his team.

“It gives a chance to assess our opponents away before coming back to finish the job here at home. We have enjoyed so much support from the 12th player in our recent games, and we urge the nation to continue rallying behind us,” he said.
He said the club has unfinished business in domestic competition especially the MTN League where despite having won the title, they were still pursuing an invincible record.

“We are not dropping the guns yet, despite winning the title. We have made it clear that we are chasing our own record in the league. This means that we are going to give our opponents all the respect they deserve to avoid elements of complacency from creeping in,” he said.
The club plays Mbabane Swallows in what will be the main attraction of the Y’ello Sunday games at Somhlolo National Stadium.
