‘BIRDS’ HAVE THE AMMUNITION TO STOP AZAM
MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows have all the reasons to fancy their chances against Azam FC when they meet on Sunday in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.
The ‘Van Damme’ of Swazi football lost 0-1 away to the richly sponsored Tanzanian side that was only formed 10 years ago.
The second leg at Swallows’ slaughterhouse – Somhlolo National Stadium – will determine who progresses to the tournament’s playoff stage where they will be paired against teams who have crashed out of the CAF Champions League.
Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati and his charges put up a brave performance away and given their good home record in Africa in recent years, it is possible to believe they can advance.
