3 SWAZIS FOR WINTER WORLD GAMES TRAININGS IN AUSTRIA

MBABANE – The duo of Lungelo Zwane and Temantimandze Kunene are off to Graza, Austria for the World Winter Games training.


They will also be joined by Swaziland Special Olympics National Director Babazile Langa in the training starting tomorrow, ending next Wednesday.
The World Winter Games trainings occur concurrently with the World Winter Games.
Zwane is a Youth Leader from Ngwazini Community and Kunene is a Clinical Director for the Fit Feet discipline (Screening of feet). 


National Director Langa said invitations for the above trainings were opened to all Special Olympics countries for those interested to apply and the two got selected after they submitted their applications.


Zwane will be attending the GenUin: Social Impact Summit Youth leaders from all around the world will convene for training and mentorship on how to make their communities more inclusive of people with intellectual disabilities.
Kunene will be attending the Healthy Athletes Train-the-Trainer programme, which will see health professionals from around the world attending this training programme, which is designed to provide education and hands-on experience necessary for the Healthy Athletes team to conduct screenings for athletes in conjunction with their local Special Olympics Programmes.


Langa will be a mentor to Zwane.
The training attendees will leave today and are expected back home on March 22.
“As Special Olympics Swaziland we really appreciate Kunene and Zwane for submitting their applications as they have opened doors for the country to start new programmes and this is a sign of growth for the organisation. Our dream is to create a world where people with intellectual disabilities have equal opportunities to do just about anything. We also would like to thank the Swaziland National Sports and Recreation Council (SNSRC) for their continued support,” Langa said.
