MBABANE – High flying Mbabane Swallows have earned a new name as the ‘Van Damme’ of local football and they are up against a Matsapha United side whose coach Saul Chamunika has preferred to call them the ‘Express Bullet Train.’

The Zimbabwean mentor has made clear his ambitions about his Matsapha United side – to take it to Africa next season.
The SwaziBank Cup last 16 clash against the defending champions will test his team’s resolve because the tournament carries a ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup next year.

“We are on three today (yesterday) and the boys are excited at meeting the team of the moment. Training is more exciting as usual and I hope come match day what I am seeing here will transfer to the field,” he said.
He said he was optimistic that the soccer loving nation will be treated to an interesting duel between the unstoppable Birds and the Matsapha Express Bullet Train.

His Swallows counterpart Thabo Koki Vilakati said they were not taking the game lightly, as usual.
“To us, we use the same measurement in preparing for a game, because we believe there are no small teams.
“The game will afford our players to fight for competition for a place in the starting eleven next weekend when we go to Tanzania,” he said.

He said Swallows were being professional in their approach to games and they afford every team the same treatment and respect.
“I have been there and done that as a coach, to know what is expected of my team. The spirit in camp is very high and we are not going to go light on our opponents, because you may never know who is behind them,” he said.
