MBABANE – Correctional Services teams campaigning under the Commissioner General League were motivated ahead of the weekend fixtures.

His Majesty‘s Correctional Services Commissioner General Isaiah Mzuthini Ntshangase presented Adidas kits to the teams yesterday. Each team was presented with the two full set of the famous brand that comprised home and away kits.

The league is sponsored to the tune of E150 000 by Correctional Services. The package is part of the E300 000 invested by Ntshangase to various sporting codes within the service. “Sports play a pivotal role in our health. Here at Correctional Services, we encourage officers to take part in different sports. Sport help in team building encourages team work, teaches discipline and commitment,” he said. Present to receive the kits were the team managers.

The Chaiman of the executive committee that runs the league, Muhle Dludlu, thanked Ntshangase for keeping his promises. He said the teams would look presentable during the games and this would obviously motivate them.
Some of the players who compete in the league include former Green Mamba stars.

“We are going to make sure that the games run smoothly and the teams practise fair play,” he said.
The league will enter its third week this weekend and games are billed for Saturday at the College Sports ground and TB Centre Sports ground.
The league defending champions Matsapha will face Pigg’s Peak at College Sports ground. The game will start at 11am.
The League PRO Majaha Kunene said spectators were welcome to come and watch the games.
