SA LEGENDS IN NEGOTIATIONS WITH SWAZIBANK

MBABANE – South Africa’s much celebrated football legends, made up mainly of the class of 1996, may possibly make yet another appearance in the SwaziBank Cup finals.


In previous years, the South African legends played their local counterparts.
Led by 1995 CAF Champions League winner in Orlando Pirates Edward ‘MaGents’ Motale and former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns defender Fabian MaCarthy, the stars were interested spectators in yesterday’s SwaziBank Cup launch at Summerfields.
They were in the company of Swazi legend and renowned agent Abel ‘Chacklas’ Shongwe.


Shongwe could only confirm that were in the country to meet with SwaziBank management over a possible appearance during the finals.
In previous years, retired stars like Lucas Radebe, Jerry Sikhosane, Tebogo Moloi and Doctor Khumalo, to mention a few, have been on show.
SwaziBank Public Relations Officer (PRO) Phesheya Vilakati said there was no deal so far and only said the legends were invited guests, at the launch.
