MBABANE – The inquest into Mbabane Swallows’ 4-2 aggregate victory over Orapa United in a two-legged tie came down to one thing – this is a team that has finally taken its domestic dominance to Africa.

They are a team whose veins are filled with a winning DNA.
Never mind the sour grapes from Orapa United’s Madinda Ndlovu, who is questioning the capital city giants’ superior status, Swallows are a team on the rise.

After back to back victories in Francistown and Somhlolo National Stadium in the past two weekends, Swallows ended their own CAF club competition jinx in style, somehow shrugging off the continental stigma that has been like second skin to them.

Their status in domestic league cannot be disputed. Not even by Ndlovu who was shocked by the Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati-coached side never-say-die attitude on both games held at first the state-of-the-art Francistown Sports Complex the other weekend before Saturday’s 3-2 victory at Swallows’ slaughterhouse, Somhlolo National Stadium.

The ‘Beautiful Birds’ demonstrated their newfound mental toughness in recent games, that has seen them go 26 games unbeaten and in those managing to win 25 and drawing once.
Surely that is an enviable record.

Below we bring the factors driving ‘Umkhonto KaShaka’.
