REFEREE THULANI SIBANDZE FINALLY GETS CAF ASSIGNMENT

MBABANE – Thulani Sibandze will handle his first international assignment in a CAF Champions League assignment in Mozambique on February 19.


Sibandze, who on countless times has been rejected by FIFA, is on his first way in the world football governing body’s referees’ panel. He, alongside assistants Petros Mbingo and Zamani Simelane will handle a match between Ferroviario of Mozambique and Zimamoto of Zanzibar at Beira-Campo in the eastern nation.


Established referee Mbongiseni Fakudze will be the fourth official. National Football Association of Swaziland of Swaziland (NFAS) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe confirmed the CAF assignments.  


Radebe revealed that CAF Referees Instructor Mangaliso LaNgwenya has been appointed as Match Commissioner in a CAF Confederation Cup match between Vniao Desportiva da Songo of Mozambique and Platinum Stars of South Africa to be played in Mozambique on the February, 18.
Meanwhile, the NFAS will this Friday host a Futsal Workshop at the Technical Centre in Lobamba starting at 10am.


“This workshop is targeted to all schools within the Mbabane-Manzini corridor,” he said.
The facilitator of this Futsal Workshop is the Youth Development Officer of the NFAS, Friday Myeni.
“Its main purpose is to discuss the Futsal and Schools’ Women Football calendar for the year 2017. These schools are urged to send at least one representative or coach to this workshop,” he said.
