MBABANE – As the Esibayeni Lodge Under-17 League heats up in the second round, reigning champions Young Buffaloes’ attacking midfielder Likhwa Manyatsi has emerged the highest scorer after 13 games.

Decorated with last season’s Player of the Series Award in the inaugural edition, Manyatsi continues to prove he is the best talent in the league with his 13 goals and several assists. His club had only been in the summit for two weeks now after Manzini Wanderers dominated for some time.

Manyatsi who also won the SwaziBank Cup Under-20 Best Player and E10 000 worth bursary is two goals away from long time leader Innocent Ndzinisa who plies his trade with basement side Manzini Sea Birds, surprisingly.

Records by the PLS office yesterday show Manyatsi is now ahead after their mid-week games including a 3-all draw with Mbabane Highlanders on Thursday.

On third is Mbabane Swallows’ Lwandle Mkhwanazi on 10 goals.
These players have nine more games to fight it out for the Top Goal Scorer Award starting from today and tomorrow’s games between Lobamba and Manzini. Buffaloes take on Moneni Pirates; Sea Birds are up against Highlanders while Swallows go head-to-head with Red Lions.
