MBABANE – The Swaziland Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (SOCGA) goes to polls tomorrow at OlympAfrica Centre.

All eyes are on the fierce battle between Senator Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa and incumbent Treasure Peter Shongwe who are vying for the presidential seat. Having served in the SOCGA board since 1992, Zombodze Magagula is not eligible to contest for the seat.

Magagula, however, is among the nominees, only as a member in the only four slots available along with incumbent SOCGA Board member Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini, former Manzini Wanderers striker, now Swimming Association president Berger Nxumalo, Taekwondo Red Belt holder Temangcamane Maseko, Louis Nxumalo and Netball Association president Mandisa Sigudla.

SOCGA hosted a year opening party last Tuesday where their membership, athletes and coaches showed up. The ceremony marked the end of the remodelling job- with the Museum which displays the historic elements of the Olympic, Commonwealth and other Games.
We reveal the presidential hopefuls’ profiles.
