MBABANE – The much-anticipated Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Vision 2022 programme will undergo a vigorous discussion in a special meeting slated for Wednesday at Sigwaca House.

The meeting starts at 8pm, announced PLS Chief Operations Officer Pat Vilakati yesterday.
Vilakati said some of the agenda items include remarks by the PLS Chairman, Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze, an update on the 2017 SwaziBank Cup and National team, Sihlangu schedule.

“We are expecting each club to send its representative in the PLS Board of Governors to this Special General Meeting to be held in terms of Article 29 (1) of the PLS Constitution,” he said.
The National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS), during a press briefing held on Wednesday, warned Premier League teams to be ready for a hectic football season.

NFAS CEO Frederick Mngomezulu said football stakeholders would now have to adapt to their activities accordingly as these hectic schedules would be a norm in the coming years.

“Teams need to be ready for a busy football season. Playing midweek will become a norm so teams better gear themselves up for this. There are too many international assignments and if we can halt these domestic games, we can find ourselves inactive for three months but we cannot afford that,” Mngomezulu noted.
