MBABANE – Following their elimination from the lucrative Ingwenyama Cup last Sunday, Malanti Chiefs will turn focus to their promotion battle.

The gold and black outfit will play host to Madlenya on Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium in an MTN First Division pending fixture. Mduduzi ‘Sikhalo’ Nxumalo and his charges were brushed aside by Young Buffaloes in the E3 million-sponsored Ingwenyama Cup backed by Sincephetelo MVA Fund courtesy of a Ndoda Mthethwa brace.

However, they will relish the experienced gained against the elite league second-placed outfit and their good run in the knockout tournament overall having reached the quarter-finals, an achievement that has banked them E90 000 as they seek to reduce Matsapha United’s lead at the summit to just one point.

Madlenya, on the other hand, are not too far off from the promotion places as a win will equal third-placed Vovovo’s 26 points and six adrift table toppers Matsapha.
