MBABANE – It was raining goals for Mbabane Swallows when they played two friendly games against National First Division League side Amalanda on Sunday.

The games were played at King Sobhuza Memorial Stadium watched by a crowd of about 200 people. Swallows, who are yet to lose a match in the MTN Premier League and Ingwenyama Cup, beat Amalanda 6-2 and 5-0.
The trio of Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, Mike Mohammed and Sandile Hlatshwako were part of the scorers during the two games.

Swallows Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Manana said they don’t want the festive break to disturb them on the winning mode. He said it was important that they kept the players active during the festive season and they would do that by taking no break.

“I doubt we will be going to the festive break as we had tough games at the end of the year. We are only going to allow the players to enjoy Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then they will be back at training,” he said.
Manana said they were also preparing for the CAF Champions League and it was important that they keep their squad fit and ready to challenge Africa.

“Next year, we will also be campaigning in the CAF Champions League and for us to do well, we have to work hard,” he said.
