INJURED BLAKE YOUNG OUT FOR FIVE WEEKS
DWALENI – A clavicle fracture forced shining junior rider, Blake Young, to watch yesterday’s championship from the sidelines.
The 11-year-old, who was leading in the PRO 65 Bikes class locally before the stop at Exodus MX Track yesterday, injured his collarbone during the South African nationals at Harrismith in South Africa’s Free State Province recently.
“I was second in the race before the unfortunate incident,” said Blake, who features prominently in the neighbouring country’s competitions.
The award-winning rider will be out for at least five weeks. He was third on the neighbouring country’s standings in his category (PRO 65cc) before the injury.
