MBABANE – Capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders’ treasured twins, Lungelo and Fanelo Tsabedze, have completed their switch to Royal Leopard following a swap deal with former Sihlangu midfielder, Menzi Sithole.

The crafty midfielder is already training with the ‘Black Bull’ and he is set to debut in the eagerly-awaited derby against Mbabane Swallows in the Castle Premier Challenge semi-finals at Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday. The twins have been in Leopard’s camp for the past two weeks.
However, midfielder, Fanelo, has to wait longer before donning the police outfit’s blue and white colours as he is still out injured. Reports suggested he could be out for the rest of the season.

Even though full details of the deal were expectedly kept top secret, both clubs were said to be satisfied with the arrangement as the twins would be free to join Leopard.

Mbabane Highlanders Managing Director Bheki ‘Rubber’ Simelane confirmed the latest developments, saying the team could not stand in the gifted duo’s way as the move touched on the stars’ welfare. Joining Leopard comes with job opportunities at the police service. “We’re thankful to Leopard for the cooperation during the negotiations. Unfortunately, we can’t discuss finer details of the transfer as they involve the two parties,” said Simelane.

“As a team, we have a responsibility to secure the future of the players, and when opportunities like this one come, we have to assist them rather than frustrate them. They have served us well, we will miss them but we are grateful at getting a player of Sithole’s calibre, who is a national team material. He will add steel to the team and depending on the coaches, he is available for the big derby on Saturday,” he said.
