MBABANE – Decorated police side Royal Leopard coach Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane has described Sihlangu’s COSAFA Castle Cup exploits as a big achievement.

The soft-spoken mentor said after yesterday’s 1-0 win over the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in Namibia by Sihlangu that the nation could not have asked for any better than this after the semi-final blow on Wednesday.

“What a game! What a big achievement by the national team! This is for the whole country and I’m so proud of our Sihlangu because they have hoisted our flag through football,” he said.

Changes

He said the changes made by coach Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga did not matter at all because all the players are part of the national team and have been for some time so he was not surprised they could turn on the heat and win the match for the country.
“Every player counts in the national team and yesterday was evidence that there’s depth and these boys now know and understand each other very well,” he said.

He praised Bulunga and his technical bench for a job well done while also not forgetting everyone from the Football Association (FA) to government for the support and unity which has yielded results for the nation’s pride.
