MBABANE – They went to the last game of the campaign trailing Pine Valley by a point, seeking a win at all costs and PMT got it in emphatic fashion yesterday afternoon at the dusty Msunduza Sports Ground.

The win did not only confirm PMT as the champions of the E45 000 Mandla Mahewu Mbabane Promotion League, but ensured they will represent Mbabane in the upcoming Hhohho Regional play-offs expected to take centre stage from late this month.

Captain Wandile Mafuleka scored the only goal of the match, a minute after the quarter hour mark to settle the nerves and guide his side to victory in front of a passionate over 1 000 supporters. PMT, for their work, will pocket E7 000 while runners-up Pine Valley will get E4 500.
Coach Isaac Sihlongonyane lauded the great commitment from his players from the first game of the season.

“The players were hungry and the target of reaching the play-offs has been achieved. Now the main target is getting promoted to the Super League after the play-offs and with the good management backing us, anything is possible,” Sihlongonyane said.
