E40 TO WATCH ‘BIRDS’, APR IN CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

MBABANE – It’s E40 to watch Mbabane Swallows take on APR FC from Rwanda in the CAF Champions League first leg match on Sunday


APR is expected to arrive in the country on Friday as the game is scheduled for Valentine’s Day (February 14) at Somhlolo National Stadium, kick-off is 3:30pm, Swallows acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sibusiso Manana announced yesterday.

 


“We are inviting our supporters and every football fanatics to come and enjoy Valentine’s Day with us. Each fan will pay E40 to watch the encounter that we are currently preparing for. We do not want to disappoint the country on such a special day,” he said.


Manana said they were now representing the country, not Mbabane Swallows family. He said the country must unite to overcome their opponents. He said the presence of supporters in large numbers could play a big role in motivating the players.


The referees for the game will come from Zimbabwe and Norman Matemera (1st assistant), Salani Ncube (2nd assistant) and the middle man are expected to land in the country a day (Saturday) ahead of the game


Manana said they were still not aware of when their opponents would arrive in the country for the match.
He said they will continue to work closely with the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) concerning the arrival of the team.
