MBABANE – After all has been said, giants Mbabane Highlanders are not taking lightly the PLS retreat’s concerns as they have come out to call for a way forward between the two parties.

Highlanders, through their mouthpiece Celucolo ‘Dino’ Dlamini, yesterday said it was high time that they did an honourable thing themselves, look at their house and also seek the PLS’ assistance.

“Mbabane Highlanders are affiliates of the PLS and we respect them as opposed to what we appear to be. We have met as a club and resolved to let us try and get on the round table with the PLS so they can advise us and all parties are happy at the end of the day,” Dlamini said.

He said the negative publicity was worrying them too for their brand and that of the PLS and its sponsors such that they were adamant not all was lost.

Important

“It’s not long ago that the PLS spoke of how it was important that club officials including governors must be trained in the form of workshops. That is a brilliant idea which we believe as a club could help us and everybody else,” he said.
He said people could not be right all the time which is why the importance of the PLS inviting them to the table once and for all, outline its concerns and educate them where there is need.

He acknowledged that mistakes have been made and letters of apology, in particular on the issues raised by the Board of Governors in the Pigg’s Peak Retreat over the weekend, written to the PLS to apologise.

He said it was vital now that the situation between the club and the PLS did not get anymore worse as it was derailing everyone, instead, both parties needed to work on this together and quash the differences for football to be the winner.
He also added that they would be communicating this to the PLS in writing and were confident that perhaps if this meeting took place, they would also have something to learn and move forward.
