MBABANE – There is no player who is a clear favourite to win the MTN Premier League first round Top Goalscorer prize.

After round four of matches in the past weekend, lanky Young Buffaloes forward Phiwa Dlamini and newcomers Bad Boys’ promising forward, Sfiso Dlamini, still topped the charts with four goals.

However, the likes of Green Mamba veteran forward Musa Dlamini and Mbabane Highlanders nimble winger Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze are closing in as they are now on three goals alongside Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini and Wandile Nhleko from Royal Leopard and Sea Birds, respectively.

Mbabane Swallows’ gifted pair of skipper Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze and midfielder Felix Badenhorst scored a brace apiece to be among the early contenders. Also in the top 10 is Manzini Wanderers’ Aladeon Kola, who scored for a second straight match in the 1-0 win over Bad Boys.
The first round Top Goalscorer will walk away with E4 000 while there will be an additional E5 300 at the end of the season.
In essence, a player who leads until the end of the season will become E9 300 richer.
