MBABANE – The belief in supernatural powers in the local game took a new twist on Saturday as teams PROs clashed.

The two, Mbabane Highlanders’ Celucolo ‘Dino’ Dlamini and Manzini Sea Birds’ Sifiso Masuku have been implicated in a report after a tunnel clash during their teams’ league match at the Mavuso Sports Centre.

They almost exchanged blows as they manhandled each other  just before the clubs walked out of the dressing room to the pitch. There was a fight involving the two and the teams’ marshals.

“It is in the PLS Representative’s report of that day that there was a squabble in the tunnels between the two clubs’ officials and their marshals. It was all about the other suspecting the use or sprinkling of muti where their players would pass and when one of them rushed to stop the other, a debate ensued such that the marshals of both teams joined in and manhandled the other,” an eyewitness source said.

The report, it was established, cites the PROs and the team marshals for the unnecessary commotion they caused in the tunnels over suspicions. Highlanders PRO Celucolo ‘Dino’ Dlamini when asked about this confirmed the incident.

“It’s unfortunate that such is still happening in our football but I want to believe because it all unfolded before a PLS official who was on duty on the day, it will come out in their reports and the wrong party will be accordingly dealt with,” an obviously displeased Dlamini said.
He accused Masuku of crossing the line on the day as he then treaded on their ground where the players would be passing which raised eyebrows and resulted in the commotion.

“Our marshals got involved in this because Masuku then did something unpleasant to me as I told him to immediately move away from that area to the side of his team. The marshals saw it and didn’t take kindly to it,” Dlamini said.
