EZULWINI – Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala yesterday got the 2015 Business Women of the Year Awards (BWYA) Golf Tournament underway at the Royal Swazi Spa Golf Course.

Despite a scheduled 10am tee-off time, proceedings were delayed by an hour but it was worth the wait for the 55 golfers who registered for the tournament. The Sigwe Member of Parliament said it was encouraging to see women taking a stand and representing in most spheres of our everyday lives.

“We thank the sponsors of the event and sport is good for relieving stress and for a healthy life. It is good to note that women are in every sport now and it is encouraging to see them dominating in some spheres. “Golf is good for making friends in business and Their Majesties have shown their love for the sport over the years,” Ngcamphalala said.

From September 3-5 the Royal Swazi Spa Golf Course will again host the eagerly anticipated King’s Cup Golf Tournament, whose patron is His Majesty, the King.
Redi, who were represented by Sikhomba Gumbi, are the 2015 organisers of the BWYA tournament. Meanwhile, the awards are slated for September 30.
