MBABANE – It will cost supporters E30 to watch Sihlangu take on Malawi in a crucial AFCON 2017 qualifier next Sunday.

National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) CEO Frederick Mngomezulu announced yesterday that the match would kick-off at 3pm on Sunday, September 6, at Somhlolo National Stadium.

“We have just received a correspondence that Malawi will arrive next Friday for the game. Sihlangu are already in camp, but we will release players tomorrow (today) to feature for their clubs in the Castle Premier Challenge which has been brought forward by a day,” he said.
He said the referees for the clash will come from Lesotho with the match commissioner coming from Namibia.

“We expect the players who will be released for the Castle Cup to be back in camp on Saturday evening. The team should have an extra day to prepare for the Malawi game.”

He then invited the nation to rally behind the national team as it faces the Flames of Malawi next weekend.
Sihlangu go to the game in a confident mood after a credible away win over favourites Guinea on March 12 in a game held in Morocco. Captain Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze netted a brace to take the team to the top of the group where they are joint leaders with Zimbabwe, who beat Malawi in Lilongwe 2-1.

Zimbabwe will be home to Guinea and Sihlangu have a chance to cement their top spot position if they beat the Ernest Mtawali coached side.
