MBABANE – After their partnership failed to work two seasons ago, Manzini Wanderers and Joma are set to reunite again.

Joma Sports South Africa was once sponsors of the hub giants for a season but the sponsorship was not renewed in the following season, with the company citing unfulfilled obligations.

However, it has been confirmed that they were on their way back to the club.
Manzini Wanderers, who then took to Wanderville, are said to be only waiting for the return of Joma Director Mpho Mngometulu so they could sit down and discuss the matter.

The club’s PRO, Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza, when asked, was quite coy opting to refer the matter to the elders.
“I’m not aware that they’re now officially back as our sponsors as nothing has reached my office yet. What I know is that Joma announced their return as sponsors of the club during our last supporters’ meeting when we unveiled Kenny Ndlazi as our coach,” Ginindza said.

He said since then there was nothing official communicated to him. The team’s Interim Chairman Sidney Nxumalo, however, confirmed the news. “Joma spoke in front of our supporters at the Zakhele meeting and all we’re waiting for is that they return to talk to us as they indicated that they wanted to help us,” he said.

However, he made it clear that the current position was that they would stick with Wanderville for the SPTC Swazi Telecom Charity Cup as that is the jersey they have. He said Joma was yet to return to them for discussions as they announced this in their meeting whereby supporters were present. No immediate comment could be obtained from the PLS, which investigations revealed they were already aware of Joma’s imminent return to Manzini Wanderers.
