MBABANE – Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Chairman Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze has described the four teams that made the 2015 Swazi Telecom Charity Cup as the biggest.

Young Buffaloes, Mbabane Swallows, Royal Leopard and Manzini Wanderers will be part of the festivities slated for Somhlolo National Stadium. Gamedze applauded the top voting team, Wanderers for annexing 349 612 votes after the extended deadline to walk away with the E400 000 Quantum prize.

This was during a media briefing at Sigwaca House yesterday afternoon in preparation for Sunday’s eagerly awaited games.
“We thank Wanderers for the effort. They worked very hard and it is good that they go to the tournament having won the kombi prize courtesy of the sponsor. Voting can guarantee participation in the Charity Cup, a tournament that kick-starts our season as PLS shows that a team is big.

“The four teams to battle it out on Sunday are the biggest currently in the country. Ours as PLS is to ensure that the games are a success,” Gamedze said.  He also announced that there will be a church service from 8.30am before the first semi final to feature security services sides Young Buffaloes and Royal Leopard to accommodate Christians since it will be a Sunday.

“We are bringing a football menu with church services and this will be the case in most of our upcoming events,” he said.
