MBABANE – Three of the involved coaches in this Sunday’s Swazi Telecom Charity Cup have declared there was no walkover game, saying it will be tough throughout.

These coaches are Mbabane Swallows’ Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati, Young Buffaloes’ Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini and Royal Leopard’s Sifiso ‘Nuro’ Ntibane. Manzini Wanderers’ South African coach Kenny Ndlazi was not available for comment.
Vilakati’s Swallows play Wanderers in the second semi-final at 11am and has warned people not to start thinking the opposition will be a walkover because it will not.

“We all saw what happened in the King’s Super Cup when all expected Chiefs to play Pirates in the final. We’re preparing and as much as this is a preseason tournament to help us gauge our teams ahead of the league, there’s money to be won and we’ll go all out to try and win it,” he said.
Buffaloes coach ‘Ace’ said his task was to make soldiers happy regardless of who the opponents were. He said there was no easy team in a knockout so they would come prepared.

“We respect and congratulate Leopard for everything they have achieved but we also want to win this game and I also want to win the tournament. Mine is about striving for excellence and I believe I have a capable team with a few players recalled as well,” he said.

His rival ‘Nuro’ shared the same sentiments as he said a game against Buffaloes was always tough and hard to win and if they proceeded to the final, they still knew that to win the championship would take a lot of work.

“My team is working hard and we believe in each other as we’ve been together for some time now, which should work to our advantage. It’s a forces’ derby, never been easy, a final before the final for us. This is a knockout so the team to use its chances will snatch it. We beat Buffaloes 2-0 last year at the same stage but that’s history, we’re treating this as a whole new game,” he said.
