MBABANE – The 2015 Samoa Youth Commonwealth Games country’s envoys’ Chef de Mission Victor ‘Mavikane’ Dlamini is adamant the four athletes will gain valuable experience at the games.

The games will begin on September 5 and close September 12, 2015. To represent the country is the quartet of Tambankulu Athletics Club’s Bongiwe Mahlalela, Ncamiso Magongo of Mbabane Athletic Club and Silungile Thwala and Ndzingeko Dlamini from Manzini Athletics Club.

‘Mavikane’ said the athletes were relatively young and pressure must not be put on them but rather emphasis must be on building them to be future stars.

“We are now representing the country and not going as individuals but in all honesty, they are still young and we want them to enjoy themselves while competing. There is no need to put them under pressure and we have prepared a training programme, we feel they will do well. We want them to be exposed and get the needed experience for future international competitions,” Mavikane said.
